Succession planning is a process of developing talent within an organization to meet needs now and into the future. As the workforce is facing retirement of baby boomers, it is important to establish and implement a succession plan now. Instructor Brian Mathews will lead this course and cover topics that will enable you to define, prepare, and write a succession plan.
Class participants will gain a theoretical and practical understanding of succession planning as necessary to lead the creation of a succession plan. Students will learn via a variety of online sources and participate via online discussion activities as they facilitate the process in an organization while participating in the course. By following the step-by-step curriculum, participants create and implement a functional succession plan in an organization.
